This exciting new recycled rubber resilient insulation has already undergone extensive testing and has been proved to comply with the dynamic stiffness and ∆Lw sound reduction requirements as determined in the Approved Document E.
We now require site tests to confirm the effectiveness of the product when installed on both cast concrete floors and Beam & Block concrete floors. If you are able to offer a room in a new construction that requires a 65mm concrete screed on top of a resilient layer, please contact us. The room should be at least 3m x 3m and a maximum of 25m2 with a base floor mass of at least 300kg/m2 and preferably with a ceiling in place. The new G8 will be supplied free of charge and we will also supervise the installation for those with no previous experience of our product. Alternatively, we are looking for a larger project where we can undertake a total of eight tests.
When the insulation and screed have been installed, we will then arrange for the floor to be tested. Although we have every confidence the insulated floor will pass the testing with flying colours there may be factors that influence a failure. If this should be the case we will assist with achieving a solution so that a satisfactory sound testing pass can be achieved. When the testing has been completed we will also supply you with a further 50m2 of G8 free of charge with our compliments.
